Types of Rice :
1. Long Grain Perfumed Rice
Jasmine Rice 5% Broken
Description: Jasmine rice is grown primarily in southern Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. It is moist and soft in texture when cooked, with a slightly sweet flavour. The grains cling and are somewhat sticky when cooked, though less sticky than glutinous rice (Oryza sativa var. glutinous), as it has less amylopectin. It is about three times stickier than American long-grain rice
to harvest jasmine rice, the long stalks are cut and threshed. The rice can then be left in a hulled form called paddy rice, de-hulled to produce brown rice, or milled to remove the germ and some or all of the bran, producing white rice

2. DT8 RICE….5 % BROKEN
Vietnam Fragrant Rice 5% broken (Dai Thom 8)
DT8 is a high-quality pure rice variety studied and selected by the Vietnam Plant Seed Group (Vinaseed), which is currently the major rice variety in the Mekong Delta rice bowl as well as the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.
This variety has a relatively short growth time, gives the full yield and meet the export standards.
DT8 has a characteristic light aroma, glossy white rice, flexible, drained rice, rice to the end of the milling season to eat is still flexible and delicious.

Description:
Japonica rice is a short-grain variety of Japanese rice, sometimes called sinica rice, is one of the two major domestic varieties of Asian rice. Japonica rice is extensively cultivated and consumed in China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. In Vietnam, it is primarily grown in Dong Thap and An Giang provinces Rice grain is round, thick and hard; rice is stickier due to the higher content of amylopectin, sticky and moist in texture when cooked.

4. LONG GRAIN WHITE RICE

Vietnam Long Grain White Rice 5% broken (OM5451)
OM 5451 rice is a long-grain variety of fragrant rice created by a crossbreed combination between Jasmine 85 and OM 2490 varieties. It is primarily grown in the Mekong Delta provinces, gives the full yield and meet the export standards.
Grain of this variety is long, slender, little chalky and slightly milky colour. Rice is elastic and soft in texture, slightly aromatic when cooked, not hard even when cooled down.

Vietnam White Rice 5% Broken (504)
Vietnam White Rice 5% Broken is developed from IR50404 (or IR504) variety by IRRI International Rice Institute and cultivated on Mekong Delta fields since 1992 then thrives in the following years thanks to many superior features such as high productivity, good adaptability to lots of farming terrain, especially the short-term harvest season, so it has pushed the output up and the price of rice down to be suitable for the user’s pocket.
Grain of rice has an average length with ivory white opaque in colour, slightly broken rice. Due to the high content of Amylose, IR50404 rice is dry in texture but sweet and spongy when cooked slightly broken rice.
